Caldwell County Residents Urged to Prepare for Severe Storms, Flooding Threats

With the threat of severe storms and flooding through Saturday, Caldwell County Emergency Management Director Joey McCaslin is urging the community to take proactive steps to ensure their safety and readiness.

McCaslin said that the threat of severe weather and flooding is expected from Wednesday afternoon through Saturday.

Caldwell County Judge-Executive Kota Young has announced the current shelters are as follows:

  • Caldwell County Courthouse
  • Fredonia First Baptist Church
  • Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church
  • Blue Springs Baptist Church
  • Donaldson Baptist Church.
