Despite several tornado warnings being issued for Caldwell County on Wednesday night, Emergency Management Director Joey McCaslin reported that the county fared well.
McCaslin reported that at one point on Wednesday night, the county experienced three tornado warnings. However, he said preliminary reports suggest that there was no damage.
McCaslin mentioned that a few of the shelters were almost at capacity during the storms.
Although Caldwell County fared well during the severe storms, the staff at the National Weather Service had to take cover when a tornado was reportedly on the ground in Paducah.
McCaslin also said that if you encounter any fallen trees or issues on any of Caldwell County’s roads, you should contact the non-emergency number at Dispatch: 270-365-7860.
