Overnight rainfall further worsened the flooding situation in Caldwell County by Saturday morning.
According to Mesonet, the county experienced an additional 3.30 inches of rain from Friday night into mid-morning Saturday, bringing the total rainfall since Wednesday to 10.60 inches.
On Saturday morning, forecasters from the National Weather Service in Paducah said that an additional 1-4 inches of rain is expected today, with a localized higher swath across Kentucky potentially receiving up to 6 inches.
