During Tuesday morning’s Caldwell County Fiscal Court meeting, magistrates were updated on the ongoing efforts to transition from the response phase to the recovery phase following the recent flooding.
McCaslin reported that as of Tuesday morning six water rescues had been conducted during the flooding event, with no fatalities reported.
He indicated that while the county is progressing toward the recovery phase, it remains in the response phase due to ongoing issues that need to be addressed. He noted that FEMA will be in the county to assess the availability of individual and public assistance.
McCaslin and Judge-Executive Kota Young emphasized the importance of thorough documentation before, during, and after the cleanup process.
