Caldwell County Conservation Tree Giveaway Deemed a Success

The Caldwell County Conservation Tree Give-A-Way program was held Thursday morning and was considered a success.

The event was scheduled to begin at 8:30 am and by 7:30 there were already people standing in line to pick out their desired trees and birdhouses. When the time arrived to begin there were over 75 people gathered in the parking lot of the district office on Traylor Street to pick out their prizes.

Conservation District employee Hannah Feagan felt like it was the biggest turnout she had seen in her time working with the agency despite having to postpone the event due to flooding of the forestry office.
