Caldwell County Grand Jury Issues Multiple Indictments, Dismisses Two Cases

The Caldwell County Grand Jury has returned twelve felony indictments and two no-true bills from its April Session.

A true bill was returned on Cody Edmonds of Princeton on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. According to the indictment, Edmonds allegedly had sexual contact with two minors under the age of 12 between January 1, 2024, and October 12, 2024. The case was investigated by Kentucky State Police Post 2.

Byrce Ketchey of Princeton was indicted on several complicity charges including first-degree criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking of a controlled substance under $10,000, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance, along with counts of complicity to theft by unlawful taking $1,000 or more between January 29th and January 31st.

The grand jury returned a no true bill on Ketchey on charges of receiving stolen property – a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of prescription not in a proper container, receiving stolen property under $1,000, and attempt fraudulent use of a credit card, and the case was dismissed.

The charges are in connection to a string of vehicle thefts in the Cedar Creek Road and Greenspoint subdivisions that occurred in January and were investigated by the Princeton Police Department.

Shawn Edward Stallins of Princeton was indicted on charges of receiving stolen property under $10,000, possession of a firearm by a convicted felony, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree persistent felony offender, and two misdemeanor offenses of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia from November 12th.

Stallins was arrested in November following a search by deputies from Caldwell, Christian, and Lyon counties at a home in the 11000 block of Dawson Road. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office reported that as a result of the multi-jurisdiction investigation, deputies recovered four DeWalt toolboxes with tools and a .243 caliber rifle with a case related to thefts in Lyon County.

A true bill was returned on Austin Blade Belt of Princeton on charges of trafficking marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felony. The charges are from an incident on January 23rd  investigated by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.

Clifton Glen McKinney of Princeton was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance – meth and misdemeanor offense for possession of drug paraphernalia from an incident on January 15th.

McKinney was taken into custody by Princeton Police in January on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on traffic offenses. Police said he was also found in possession of meth.

Terry Oliver of Princeton was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance – meth and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, along with a misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia and a violation for public intoxication from December 21st. The incident was investigated by the Princeton Police Department.

The grand jury indicted Shannon Miller of Marion on charges of first-degree promoting contraband and first-degree possession of a controlled substance – meth from an incident on January 4th.

Miller was arrested at Casey’s General Store by Princeton Police in January on a bench warrant for failure to pay or appear on a 2023 misdemeanor case. As she was being processed at the Caldwell County Jail, police said a small baggie of meth was found hiding under the lining of her purse.

Lillie Michelle Stokes of Providence was indicted on charges of DUI second offense, and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. The charges are from an incident on October 10th that was investigated by the Princeton Police Department.

A true bill was returned on Ashley Ariana Rodriguez of Hobart, Indiana on charges of complicity for possession of burglary tools and three counts of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument from February 11th and investigated by the Princeton Police Department.

The grand jury also returned a no-true bill and dismissed the case of Marcus Neal after considering a charge of theft by unlawful taking under $10,000.
