Princeton Community Easter Egg Hunt Held Saturday (w/PHOTOS)

The Princeton Community-Wide Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Princeton First Baptist Church was held Saturday morning at the Youth Inc. ballfield off Legion Drive in Princeton.

The activities were scheduled to begin at 10:00 am, but as people began to arrive, the bouncy houses were opened up to enjoy after getting registered. The t-ball fields were roped off into different age groups, plus a large trailer was placed in front of the area to showcase several large prizes provided by First Baptist Church, plus 3 bicycles donated by the Princeton Optimist Club. As the egg hunters arrived, they and their families were treated to donuts before gathering around the prize trailer to hear Pastor Jerry Horine share about the real story of Easter and why we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

The hunters were then dismissed to gather at their assigned places by age groups to prepare for the big hunt. The first group was the toddlers and then every 5 minutes another group were turned loose all the way up to 5th graders. Also during the egg hunt times the foam party started for anyone interest in being a part of playing in the foam.

When all the egg hunts were completed, there was a pause in the bouncy houses and foam party to gather once again at the prize trailer. Names were called from the registration paperwork, and prizes were awarded to members of each age group. After all the prizes were awarded, the bouncy houses and foam party began again.

Cathryn Williams organized the egg hunt and shared her thoughts about the event.
