
A Princeton man is facing burglary charges after officers responded to a reported break-in on North Harrison Street Thursday afternoon.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison stated that officers were sent to a home near the 200 block of North Harrison Street around 1:45 p.m. Police said the homeowner reported he was following the suspect in his vehicle along West Locust Street.
According to police, officers located 59-year-old James McGhee, Jr., and held him in custody pending further investigation.
Officers said the investigation determined that McGhee entered the residence and was removing items when he was confronted by the homeowner.
McGhee was charged with third-degree burglary and lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
