Juvenile Charged After Investigation Into Hopkins County School Threat


The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office reports that a juvenile has been charged after an investigation into a threat at a middle school.
Detective Zac Render says on Wednesday the sheriff’s department investigated a terroristic threatening incident in which text message was sent that he/she was going to take a firearm to a local middle school with criminal intent. He says the sheriff’s department, assisted by officers with the Madisonville Police Department, interviewed all parties involved and has charged a juvenile with second-degree terroristic threatening for their role in this incident.
No other details about the incident were released.
