The Princeton Rotary Club discussed taking applications for the Build-a-Bed program and using another grant to provide financial assistance to the new daycare in Princeton that was destroyed by the tornado that hit the Dawson Road area.
During Tuesday’s meeting, President Roy Burris said the Princeton club received a $10,000 Build-a-Bed grant. He added they had previously discussed what area they would serve, and they have since learned the Princeton club will not need to provide beds to children of families who suffered losses in Dawson Springs.

click to download audioRotarians also discussed there may be needs in Lyon County as well as additional help needed in the Dawson Springs area that may not be covered by the grant received by the Madisonville Rotary Club.
Burris concluded the discussion by saying they want to ensure any families who suffered losses in Caldwell and Lyon counties that they will have a bed for their children.

Also at the meeting, Burris welcomed Andrew Long as an official member of the Princeton Rotary Club at Tuesday’s meeting. Long is the new administrator at Rivers Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa and is a transfer from the Paducah Rotary Club.
