The Caldwell Regional Career Center has announced that two Caldwell County High School students have been awarded scholarships after participating in the Capital City Classic welding competition in Frankfort.
Principal Randy McCarty tells the News Edge that senior Dammien Cullman and junior Tyler Joslin were each presented a $500 scholarship to the Tulsa Welding School in Jacksonville, Florida.
In addition, McCarty said Matt Brewer, a senior who was tragically killed in a car wreck in front of the school in March, also won a $500 welding scholarship prior to his death.
