Princeton City Council Approves Paving Bid And Pay Plan


Princeton City Council approved a paving bid and a modified pay plan for salaries of appointed city officers for the Fiscal Year 2023 at Monday night’s meeting.
Mayor Kota Young gave a breakdown of the prices from the lone bid submitted by Rogers Group for the resurfacing of city streets.

click to download audioIn other action, an ordinance modifying the salaries of appointed city officers and the personnel pay plan will move forward for second reading after action by the city council. Mayor Young explained the monetary amount associated with every rank was increased.


click to download audioThe pay plan will be effective the first pay period of July 2022, with the annual salary for the positions as follows:
– City Council: $300/month for an annual salary of $3,600
– City Clerk: $51,900
– City Attorney: $24,000
– Planning and Zoning Administrator: $47,500
– Police Chief: $52,000
– Assistant Police Chief: $50,000
– Public Works Superintendent: $55,200
– Code Enforcement Adminstrator/Fire Chief Administrative Officer: $49,700
– Assistant Fire Chiefs (3): $1,200
The council will vote on the second reading of the pay plan at the next Princeton City Council meeting scheduled for 5:00 Monday afternoon, June 20.
