The Caldwell County Grand Jury returned several drug possession indictments, along with trafficking meth and other charges from the June 3 session.
44-year old Russell Carter Hutchinson, of Princeton, was indicted for first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and violation of conditions of release. The charges are from March of 2022 when Hutchinson was taken into custody on a Caldwell County probation violation warrant and he was also found in possession of meth, paraphernalia, and a set of brass knuckles.
Hutchinson was also indicted on charges of tampering with physical evidence and first-degree persistent felony offender.
The grand jury returned a true bill on 39-year old Keisha M. Morphew, of Marion, on charges for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance over 2 grams of meth – 1st offense, illegal possession of a legend drug, second-degree possession of a controlled substance – Amphetamine, third-degree possession of a controlled substance – Diazepam, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no tail lamps. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office reported Morphew was arrested in March after a traffic stop for one headlight and she was found in possession of the drugs.
42-year old Gordon L. Hazel, of Marion, was indicted for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – meth, speeding, and improper use of blue lights. The charges are from March when the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office reported deputies conducted a traffic stop for speeding on a vehicle being driven by Hazel and he was found in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and meth.
The grand jury indicted 47-year old Randell W. Walker, of Marion, on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance – meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. According to Princeton Police, Walker was a passenger in a vehicle when officers were serving a warrant on the driver
in April. Police said they found Walker in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia during a pat-down during the execution of the warrants for officer safety. After Walker was taken into custody, he reportedly told officers that he also had marijuana in the vehicle.
And 39-year old Amanda Jo Keyes, of Madisonville, was indicted on a charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine. In March, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office reported deputies were on patrol when they observed a parked car driven by Keyes at the end of Archery Club Road and she was found in possession of meth.
