Smoke From Union County Seen As Far Away As 50 Miles

Smoke from harvested fields being burned in Union County filled the sky and could be seen as far away as Caldwell County.
Around 11:30 Monday morning, a giant plume of smoke could be seen from Highway 293 in northern Caldwell County. The smoke turned out to be in Union County just east of Morganfield along Highway 56, west of Poole, where acres and acres of harvested wheat fields were being burned and plowed. The smoke filled the sky in Union and Webster counties and could be seen over 50 miles away in northern Caldwell County.
