Two Crittenden Road Projects to Restrict Travel

A pair of roads in Crittenden County will either be closed or see a lane restriction while the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet continues construction work over the next month.
Kentucky Highway 135 will be closed near the 12-mile marker to allow deck maintenance and joint work on the Hurricane Creek Bridge, which is located less than a mile from the intersection of Kentucky Highway 91. The closure means residents of Tolu will have a longer drive to access the ferry to Cave-In-Rock.
The maintenance project will require the roadway to be closed to all traffic for about 15 days.
Meanwhile, Kentucky Highway 506 the Piney Fork Road will be restricted to one lane with an automated signal at the Buggs Branch of Piney Creek Bridge Bridge near the Crittenden-Caldwell County Line. This work zone is to allow deck maintenance and joint work on the bridge.
This project is expected to take about 30 days to complete, weather permitting.
