Lyon County has a new dog park where your fur babies can run and play.
City of Kuttawa officials announced on social media Wednesday that a new dog park has opened which was made possible thanks to the help of Mayor Barbara Campbell, Councilwomen Skyla Grief and Sandy Stark, Mark Cooper, and Gwen Bohannan who were able to make this dream come true.
Officials also thanked the Kuttawa Relocation Foundation for helping make this dream happen a lot faster than they had anticipated.
The dog park, The Barking Lot is located at 88 Cedar Street in Kuttawa. Dog owners are asked to pick up after their pets and refrain from bringing aggressive dogs.
Officials indicate there is still a lot of work to be done; if you would like to donate to The Barking Lot you can stop by Kuttawa City Hall at 82 Cedar Street or send your donations to the City of Kuttawa, P.O. Box 400, Kuttawa, KY 42055 and make sure to put “Dog Park” in the memo.
