Alzheimer’s has impacted many families around the area. Unfortunately, there is no cure. Raising awareness and educating families affected by those diagnosed with the disease is helpful for knowing the signs to look for and finding support.
The 2022 Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s event held annually in Hopkinsville helps to do just that — it raises awareness and provides educational information, according to Megan Sledge of Baptist Deaconess Health Medical Group.

The 2022 Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held at 9:00 Saturday morning on September 24 at the Christian County Justice Center in Hopkinsville. It is open to anyone who wants to participate. Sledge says you can register for the event by going online.

She adds you can also make donations throughout the year by going online or on the Alzheimer’s Association App.
The event is hosted by The Alzheimer’s Association – Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter.
