Lyon County Clerk And Sheriff Receive Clean Audits Of 2021 Financial Statements

State Auditor Mike Harmon released the audits of the 2021 financial statements of Lyon County Clerk Lori Duff and Lyon County Sheriff Brent White this week.
The auditor noted no instances of noncompliance in the 2021 financial statement County Clerk Duff. The auditor also noted no matters involving internal control of financial reporting and its operation that were considered material weaknesses.
The county clerk’s responsibilities include collecting certain taxes, issuing licenses, maintaining county records and providing other services. The clerk’s office is funded through statutory fees collected in conjunction with these duties.
In addition, the auditor also noted no instances of noncompliance in the 2021 financial statement Sheriff White. The auditor also noted no matters involving internal control financial reporting and its operation that were considered to be material weaknesses.
The sheriff’s responsibilities include collecting property taxes, providing law enforcement and performing services for the county fiscal court and courts of justice. The sheriff’s office is funded through statutory commissions and fees collected in conjunction with these duties.
