Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy an evening full of music and food this weekend as Create Princeton presents “Downtown Sounds.”
Laura Klubert of Create Princeton explains the non-profit grassroots organization began a few years ago devoted to reinvigorating a community of fine arts by investing in art programming and local artists in Princeton and Caldwell County.
Klubert says “Downtown Sounds” is a free outdoor music venue that will be held Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

click to download audioAccording to Klubert, the bands — Soul N the Pocket, Leight July and the Justin Reynolds Band — will be playing at the same time with one band at each location.
click to download audioKlubert adds this Saturday is also the Chamber of Commerce Open House Shopping Day. She says they hope everyone comes out early to support local businesses and do some Christmas shopping, and then end the day enjoying the “Downtown Sounds” music event.
She says they are excited about this event which is a collaboration between Create Princeton and the City of Princeton that helped provide some funding. Their hope is that “Downtown Sounds” will be an annual event.
