The Caldwell County Long-Term Recovery Group is partnering with Pennyrile Allied Community Services to assist with case management activities moving forward.
At Monday night’s meeting under new business, LTRG Chair Kota Young explained the partnership with PACS is to provide a streamline experience for local individuals.
click to download audioHe added that PACS will assist with the process — possibly intake and reaching out to some of the victims since they are well-versed in case management because of their day-in and day-out operations.
In other new business, three community members volunteered to be a part of the Donated Goods Committee that was created through the Donated Goods Policy approved at the last LTRG meeting. Young said the policy does suggest four members with Amy Littlejohn, Lucinda Gray, and Chancie Goodwin volunteering to serve on the committee. No one else volunteered to serve on the committee, but Young said that anyone that wanted to volunteer could add their name if they decided to do so.
In addition to Form A, Young said the LTRG should also create a General Intake Form to help those individuals impacted by the tornado to any degree to submit their information to be entered into the system.
click to download audioIn old business regarding the Form A Review, Young said a total of 162 checks have been sent out by the Caldwell County Fiscal Court for a total of $364,500 with approximately 15 to 20 applications left to review. He added they have also met with the state and they are completing Form 1 and Form 2 for the community requesting $418,000.

Also in old business, there was a lot of discussion about the proposed By-Laws after Wayne Yates raised questions about quorums.

The next meeting of the Caldwell County LTRG will be Monday night, December 12, at 6:00.
