Caldwell County officials have announced a retirement reception will be held after the fiscal court meeting Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to honor Sheriff Chris Noel, County Clerk Toni Watson and Judge-Executive Larry Curling.
Curling announced his retirement earlier this year after serving one term as judge-executive of Caldwell County. Prior to being elected to the seat, he served as District 2 magistrate for four years and also was an educator and coach in Caldwell County for a number of years.
Watson also announced she was retiring at the end of her term year after having served in government for 44 years, with 29 of those years serving as county clerk in Caldwell County.
Noel has served as the sheriff of Caldwell County since June when he was appointed to the position to fill the remainder of Stan Hudson’s term after he retired. Noel has been employed with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office for over two decades.
The public is invited to come and wish them well. If you plan on attending the reception, county officials request that you don’t bring gifts but cards would be appreciated.
