Fredonia First Baptist Church is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, January 20th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 208 Cassidy Street in Fredonia.
All blood types are needed especially Os.
Through January 31, officials with the Red Cross have announced donors will automatically be entered to win a trip for two to Super Bowl LVII in Arizona. The winner and guest receive tickets to the game, round-trip airfare to Phoenix, three-night hotel accommodations from February 10-13, plus a $500 gift card. Minimum age restrictions apply.
Residents are asked to schedule an appointment and encourage others to help save lives and help ensure blood is available for patients in need.
Appointments can be scheduled on the donor app, by calling 1-800-Red-Cross (1-800-733-2767), or online at RedCrossBlood.Org.
Donors are also encouraged to save up to 15 minutes by visiting www.RedCross Blood.org/RapidPass to complete pre-donation reading and health history questions. Officials point out this must be done only on the day of your appointment.
