The Princeton Optimist Club is helping sponsor the Caldwell County Special Olympics basketball tournament being held this Saturday at the middle school. The Winter Fest Jamboree will include 15 teams beginning at 7:30 a.m. with the Caldwell teams playing at 3:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Optimist Club President George Kilgore says there is no charge to watch the games and everyone is invited to come out and support the players.
Optimist Club members Joyce Farmer, Brenda Calhoun, Roy Gene Rogers and Jason Williams presented a check to Special Olympics representatives Vickie Purcell and Katie Beth.
