Davenport Provides Fiscal Court With Update on Industry Staffing

Executive Director Amanda Davenport of the Lake Barkley Partnership for Economic Development provided Caldwell County Fiscal Court with an update last week on local industries, noting that all is well.
According to Davenport, all the industries are fully staffed at this time and HydroGear’s expansion is moving forward.


click to download audioJeff Simms, the District 4 Magistrate, inquired of Davenport as to the demographics of the county’s labor pool, to which she responded that a significant proportion of the personnel is from around the area.


click to download audioDistrict 1 Magistrate Elbert Bennett inquired about the timeline for the expansion of the Kentucky Dam, to which Davenport replied that the completion date had been pushed back to 2027.


click to download audioDavenport noted that Senator McConnell’s office is not happy at how long this project is taking because every time it takes longer the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers come back and ask for more funding.
