A Providence man has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a Madisonville man Friday night.
The Hopkins County Central Dispatch reportedly received a call that an adult male had been killed in the 1700 block of Barnhill Road in Providence shortly after 7:15 p.m. The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office reports that when deputies arrived they found 19-year old Lonnell Holloway of Madisonville deceased from gunshot wounds.
Major Charles Young with the sheriff’s department says detectives determined during an investigation that 20-year old Christopher Rideout was responsible for the shooting death of Holloway.
Rideout was charged with murder and lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
