Significant Wind Damage Reported From Friday Winds

The National Weather Service says significant wind damage was reported across all of Western Kentucky following Friday’s severe thunderstorms and extremely strong winds.
National Weather Service Paducah Warning Coordination Meteorologist Christine Wielgos says their office received reports of significant wind damage across the entire region.

click to download audioThe National Weather Service in Paducah only confirmed one tornado south of Paducah in McCracken County following Friday’s severe storms. Wielgos told the News Edge that survey was conducted Saturday morning, with no other reports of possible tornados were made to the National Weather Service by emergency managers in western Kentucky.
