A man has been charged with taking a Crofton teenager across state lines and helping her hide from her family for several days.
Kentucky State Police say 39-year-old Eric Mooney was arrested in Pennsylvania after he was found to have picked up 14-year-old Kylee Greenwell in Crofton and taken her to Pennsylvania.
Police say they are still investigating but say the two had arranged online for him to pick her up and take her with him.
Greenwell was reported missing by her family on March 1st and found in Pennsylvania on March 8th and returned home with her family
Police say Homeland Security may soon take over the investigation. Mooney who is lodged in a jail in Pennsylvania on charges of being a fugitive from another state is waiting for extradition to Kentucky on the charge of kidnapping.
