A traffic stop in Webster County over the weekend led to the arrest of a Clay woman on charges of possessing meth and marijuana.
Webster County Sheriff’s deputies conducted the traffic stop on West Elm Street in the city limits of Clay shortly before 11:00 Saturday night after observing a vehicle driven by Ericka Jenkins improperly signal a turn.
After K-9 Kora was deployed and alerted on the vehicle, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and reportedly recovered a quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Jenkins was taken into custody and lodged in the Webster County Detention Center on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance 2nd offense – meth, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, along with failure to improper signal, failure to produce insurance card, and failure to notify address change to the Department of Transportation.
