An ongoing drug investigation led to a Webster County juvenile being charged with meth possession and other offenses on Monday.
Sheriff William Braden and deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on State Route 132 West of Clay around 4:30 Monday afternoon.
Sheriff Braden said when they entered the residence they located a 16-year old juvenile in a room with drug evidence that was being tampered with and/or destroyed. After executing the search warrant, deputies reportedly recovered methamphetamine, marijuana, and several items of drug paraphernalia within the residence.
As a result of the evidence found, the 16-year old juvenile was cited and released to a guardian at the discretion of the Court Designated Worker on charges of tampering with physical evidence, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest.
In addition, Sheriff Braden says evidence located during the search led to Stephen Ross Householder also being cited on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The Clay Police Department and Kentucky State Police assisted the Webster County Sheriff’s Office in the execution of the search warrant.
The investigation is ongoing.
