A man and woman were arrested on drug trafficking charges in Webster County Wednesday afternoon.
According to Sheriff William Braden, Stacy Brown was taken into custody on two Webster County arrest warrants for narcotics trafficking offenses at a residence on US 41-A South in Dixon shortly before 4:30 p.m. Deputies also reportedly located Jan Shoulders, of Dixon, inside the home who also had multiple felony warrants for his arrest out of Hopkins County.
While in the residence, deputies reportedly observed narcotics in plain view and obtained a search warrant. During a search, Sheriff Braden said deputies recovered scales, packaging for drugs, and a quantity of methamphetamine consistent with trafficking, along with marijuana, and suboxone.
As a result of the investigation, Brown and Shoulders were both charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance 1st offense over 2 grams of meth, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Brown was also charged with second-degree hindering prosecution/apprehension.
Both subjects were lodged in the Webster County Jail.
