A section of KY 295/Lake Barkley Drive in the Old Kuttawa area in Lyon County is now open after being closed since Monday to allow a culvert and drain box to be replaced.
District 1 spokesman Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the work near the entrance to Kuttawa Harbor Marina and HuB’s has been completed and the roadway reopened to traffic.
Todd says motorists should be aware that the excavation has a temporary asphalt cap, which will be allowed to settle before a permanent asphalt cap is added.
According to Todd, some additional work will be required on the drain drop box near the culvert, which will be completed at a later date without traffic disruptions.
