Princeton Water & Wastewater officials have announced they will be flushing hydrants this week.
Officials say customers should be mindful that a temporary pressure loss may result when the hydrants are flushed. After the flush, they say air may be in the water lines of your home or business as well as discolored water may occur. In this case, officials ask customers to leave their valves open for 10 minutes to flush lines. If the problem persists, contact Princeton Water & Wastewater at (270) 365-9301 for further assistance.
The flushing schedule is as follows:
South side of the city – Wednesday, April 19
North side of the city – Thursday, April 20
Water officials say the flushing will start at 10:00 each evening and continue through the morning hours on Wednesday and Thursday.
