Caldwell County Elementary School was placed on a brief lockdown Monday morning. Public Relations & Community Engagement Coordinator Lizzie Shelton sent out a statement from the district that says school administration received a report from a student stating he saw a gun. She says a search was conducted and it was determined that the threat was a toy gun. She indicates all students and staff are safe.
