Princeton Man Charged With 3rd DUI And Resisting Arrest


A Princeton man was charged with his 3rd DUI and resisting arrest after police observed him driving a vehicle through a lawn on Linton Way.
According to Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, officers observed a vehicle driving through the lawn at West Side Condos while on patrol around 5:45 Thursday evening.
When officers were checking the welfare of the driver, 37-year old Michael Markham, officers reportedly observed a bottle of whiskey in the cup holder. Officers said that Markham could not tell them where he was and determined he was under the influence of intoxicants. When officers took his keys, they reported Markham attempted to use a second set of keys and then resisted arrested while police were trying to take him into custody.
Markham was charged with DUI 3rd offense aggravated circumstances, resisting arrest, operating a vehicle with an expired license, possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle, and violations of conditions of release.
