Youth Inc. Grounds Prepares For Season


As the summer leagues begin for the ball seasons at the Ratliff Park grounds there are repairs and maintenance being made by staff and volunteers at the local ballparks.
The usual mowing and upkeep have been going on for some time but one repair is the pavilion roof over the picnic table in the Youth Inc. playground. Bridgie Miller noticed some damage had occurred due to recent storms.

Miller began helping Meeks with the grounds work after his retirement from public service and now helps keep things prepared for the activities at the parks.


click to download audioHe invites parents to bring their children to enjoy the facility even when there are no activities planned for games.


click to download audioMiller noted the parks are a busy place during the summer and offer a great opportunity for everyone to come out and enjoy watching some ballgames.


click to download audioThere are different groups holding regular scheduled activities at the Youth Inc/Ratliff Park including youth leagues and varsity high school teams.
