The Caldwell County School District has announced its May Tiger Testimonial Award winner.
During Monday night’s school board meeting, Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Roach said this month’s recipient is Debbie Turner. Dr. Roach said that Turner is the Tiger Academy teacher at Caldwell County High School.
In her nomination, a co-worker said she “truly cares about the students in her class” and she “provides her students with a clean slate to succeed when they enter Tiger Academy.” The nomination added that Turner “strives to make connections with each of her students and continues to serve, protect and care for them even after they leave Tiger Academy.”
Dr. Roach said that Turner continues to make the district a better place because she works for the future of the students and the community.
