Take Kids Fishing Day for Caldwell County, was held Saturday, May 20th at Riverside Park on the Tradewater River in Dawson Springs. The Caldwell County Conservation District served as one of the local sponsors for the event and was on hand to assist with the program. Technician Arthur Dunn with the District shared there were approximately 50 kids that attended, with several nice prizes handed out.

Dunn added they are planning to hold the event again next year and that the park in Dawson Springs has recovered from storm damage.

Technician Hannah Feagan wanted to thank those who helped with the activities for the day, especially Atmos Energy and Webster County FFA.

Feagan noted that many of the kids had not been fishing before the event and it was a learning experience for them. She hopes to get more Caldwell County students involved next year.
