The Princeton Rotary Club’s annual golf scramble held Friday exceeded expectations set by the group.
Amanda Dossett, an employee of Holcim in Fredonia, served as this year’s scramble chairwoman. She told Your News Edge they raised over $16,000 with the event.
Dossett added they were left with around 100 chickens following the scramble. Those were donated to King’s Kitchen of Caldwell County and distributed Tuesday.
Members of the Princeton Rotary Club volunteered with King’s Kitchen to help fill food boxes before the distribution event Tuesday, following the club’s weekly meeting.
Funds raised during the annual scramble go to the Build-A-Bed program.
