Funeral services for 85-year-old James O. Bowers, of Princeton, will be 11 AM Thursday morning at Goodman Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday, and from 10 AM until the funeral hour Thursday.
Survivors include:
His wife, Deloris Bowers, of Princeton;
His sons: Mike and wife Donna Bowers of Princeton, Larry and wife Donna Bowers of Princeton;
His brother: Jerry Bowers of Princeton;
Five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Bowers died Sunday, June 19, 2023, at his home, following a long illness. He was born the son of the late Glenn & Elizabeth Bowers, and served as a deacon, trustee and song leader at Second Baptist Church in Princeton.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Kendall Bowers and his sister Shirley Bowers.
He also was a mechanic for more than 50 years, and retired from Trice Hughes after 44 years of service. He was a true man of God. He served his church, his family and his fellow man with all his heart. He was an example to everyone that met him.
