Edward Ray Yates, age 52 of Kuttawa Ky, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at his home in Kuttawa. Born May 5, 1971, he was the son of the late Homer Lynn Yates and Allie Maybell Yates.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Jean Place-Yates, and two brothers James Yates and Kenny Yates.
He is survived by one son Alexzander Eugene Place-Yates of Eddyville, two daughters Zhanna Iona Yates of Kuttawa, and Zhavia Liberty Yates of Kuttawa, one brother Stacey Yates of Burna, four sisters Rosell Knight of Kuttawa, and Phyllis Dycus of Kuttawa, Marlene Hamby of Eddyville and Connie Lyons of Kuttawa.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, June 29, 2023, with Rev. Jeremy Short officiating and burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Kuttawa.
