The heatwave plaguing much of the southern tier of the U-S is expanding – running from Colorado and New Mexico across to Kentucky and Tennessee.
Meteorologists say that highs near 100 with heat indices nearing 110 will be possible, with a Heat Advisory in effect from 11:00 Thursday morning until 8:00 Friday night.
Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
