A Marion man was injured in Lyon County after a medical incident led to a single-vehicle rollover wreck Wednesday afternoon.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department, Eddyville Police Department, Eddyville Fire Department, and Lyon County EMS responded to the wreck around 12:20 PM on Kentucky 295 North at JC Garner Road. The investigation revealed that 92-year-old Harrison Brewer apparently had a medical event, and his vehicle left the roadway before impacting a ditch and culvert.
After Brewer’s vehicle collided with the culvert, it rolled over multiple times before coming to rest in a ditch and overturned on its side. He had to be extricated by the Eddyville Fire Department and was transported by EMS to Mercy Health Hospital in Paducah for treatment of injuries.
