Graveside services for 77-year-old Thomas Frank “Tommy” Milstead, of Princeton, will be held Wednesday afternoon, July 12, at 1:30, at Eddy Creek Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
He passed away July 8, 2023, at Baptist Health of Paducah after a short illness.
Tommy was born February 1, 1946, to the late John Wilkes and Murl Wakeland Milstead.
He loved the outdoors. After an early start as a farmer, he worked for many years as a Construction Supervisor and Heavy Equipment Operator, retiring in 2019.
He had a lifelong passion for restoring vintage cars and trucks and could often be found in his garage rebuilding an engine, a fender, or a dashboard. He had a keen sense of humor and loved a good joke and telling tall tales.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Vickrey Milstead of Princeton; Sons, Ben (Kahty) Milstead of Medford, OR, Todd (Tanya) Milstead of Caldwell County; daughters, Missey (Wayne) Orange of Caldwell County, Lisa (Darren McGregor) Milstead of Caldwell County, Amy (Richard) Cox of Princeton; sister, Sudie Traylor of Kuttawa; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Rose Emily Milstead, Nancy Cartwright, and John Ella Gray; brothers, Joseph and David Milstead; grandson, Christopher Orange.
