Funeral services for 78-year-old James R. “Jim” Bugg, of Princeton, will be Friday morning, July 14, at 11:00, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Meeks Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon from 4:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home. Boilermaker Rites will begin Thursday evening at 7:00 and is open to the public.
He passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, at his home.
Jim was born March 21, 1945, to the late Roy Evans and Robbie Carner Bugg. He was a member of Donaldson Baptist Church and was a Boilermaker for over 45 years. Jim enjoyed golfing, woodworking, hunting, fishing, and antique cars. He was especially proud of his 1967 Chevelle Super Sport. Jim loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Darnell Bugg of Princeton; daughter, Tambi (Brad Houchins) Sweet of Louisville; son, Wes (Kelly) Bugg of Paducah; grandchildren, Kaylee Sweet, Traven Sweet, Logan Sweet, Kate Sweet, Keightley Bugg, Kora Bugg; nieces and nephews, Lucas (Britt) Clementz of New York, Mikhel (Ray) LeGendre of Hawaii, Jan (Randy) Lowery of Calhoun, GA, Jim (Kristie) Darnell of Lancaster, KY, Lee (Lorraine) Clementz of Massapequa, NY, Whitney Darnell of Bowling Green, Blake Darnell of Bowling Green; brother-in-law, Walt Bingham of Caldwell County; sisters-in-law, Margaret Darnell Glass of Georgia, Marsha Darnell Clementz of New York.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Jane Bingham.
