Caldwell Circuit Court Clerk Hooks To Retire August 31

Tuesday morning’s Caldwell County Circuit Court Rule Day was not normal, as 56th District Circuit Judge Jamus Redd thanked Caldwell County Circuit Court Clerk Danny Hooks for his years of service.
The surprise ceremony began with Judge Redd presenting Hooks with a plaque honoring him.

Hooks has served as Caldwell Circuit Court Clerk since January 2007 and has seen several changes during his tenure in office.

One of the biggest challenges Hooks experienced, operating through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hooks’ decision to retire was based on his plan to not run for re-election and wants a smooth transition for Christie Storm, a long-time office employee finishing his current term.

Storm will serve for the rest of his term, which ends Sunday, January 5, 2025.
Hooks feels blessed to have been able to serve the citizens of Caldwell County.

Hooks was born in Lyon County before moving to Caldwell County at the age of 14. He served as a parole officer in both counties for 13 years before being elected the Caldwell Circuit Court Clerk.
His retirement is effective Thursday, August 31, after serving for 30 years. Hooks and his wife Lisa are active members of Southside Baptist Church and have a son, Cody.
