Friends of the Library Discusses Upcoming Black Patch Book Sale


The Friends of the Library had its annual meeting Tuesday morning in preparation for the Black Patch Book Sale in September.
Kathy Svoboda with the organization says the book sale will begin Saturday, Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the George Coon Public Library.

Books will be regular price Saturday through Wednesday and half price Thursday through the next Saturday. Books are donated from the community and the George Coon Library.

The sale will also have audiobooks, DVDs, and CDs.
Svoboda says the money raised from the book sale goes toward the Summer Reading Program at the library.
