The Caldwell County Elementary School hosted an open house Thursday afternoon and allowed parents and students to view for the first time the completed renovations that have been taking place over the past several months.
Visitors were directed into the gym that was refurnished to register and then made their way to the various classrooms to meet teachers.
Principal Malissa Thomas was glad to see the good turnout and was excited to be able to show off the building to the community.

Principal Thomas noted even with the renovations the school would be operating with the regular routine as in the past.
click to download audioShe reminds parents that have students that ride in cars to be sure and have your numbers before school is dismissed on the first day.
click to download audioThomas asked parents to have patience during the first days of school. She also emphasizes that if your student is a bus rider to make sure the school has the correct information as to where the students need to be picked up and transported to from school.
click to download audioThomas requested if any parent has not completed the required registration to call the school at 270-365-8030 and set up a time to complete the paperwork. Caldwell County Elementary School houses 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.
