M. Sue McPherson Bradley, age 74 of Eddyville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Landmark of Kuttawa.
She was born on November 21, 1948, in Lyon County to the late Clyde and Ella Lou Jarrett McPherson. She started her career as a respiratory therapist earning her CRTT at Western Baptist before serving as a lunchroom worker at Reidland Elementary School. After retiring, she worked alongside her husband, Marvin to stay busy. She loved her church and was a member of Harmony Fellowship Baptist Church in Eddyville. Sue had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening whenever she wasn’t spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Kelly Sue Gossum of Benton; her son, Tony Wayne (Vicky) Bennett of Southside, Tennessee; four sisters, Judy Johnson of Eddyville, Barbara Campbell of Kuttawa, Nancy Ramey of Kuttawa, Margaret Murphy of Aurora; six grandchildren, Stacy Cupp, Faith Gossum, Erin Gossum, Della Brakefield, Sarah Jackson, Christopher Yeary; nine great-grandchildren, Isaiah Brakefield, Julian McWhorter, Elijah Brakefield, Abby Cupp, Raymond Brakefield, Sarah Brakefield, Jada Joo, Arya Whitfield and Ella Mayes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Bradley; two brothers, Shelly Paul McPherson and Donnie Wayne McPherson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Lakeland Funeral Home with Bro. Vic Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Kuttawa Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Lakeland Funeral Home.
