Deputies have released the names of six people injured in a wreck on Interstate 24 in Trigg County Tuesday morning.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say an eastbound tractor-trailer driven by Darryl Qualls hit a truck driven by Shawn Tidwell that was hauling a vehicle. Tidwell’s truck then hit another truck driven by Jay Koch that was hauling a trailer full of tires before hitting three other passenger vehicles driven by Nicole Hayden, Michael Bazilewich, and Ashlie Gillette.
The vehicles were stopped in traffic due to a prior wreck.
Six people in the vehicles that were stopped in traffic were taken by ambulance to Trigg County Hospital for injuries.
The crash happened 4 miles west of the US 68 exit just after 2 am and the eastbound lanes were closed for several hours.
The crash was investigated by Deputy Ryan Gallogly and Sgt. Robert Schneider.
