Governor Andy Beshear announced Friday afternoon that Caldwell County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Roach has been appointed as a member of the Kentucky Center for School Safety Board. He replaces Taylora Schlosser, whose term has expired. Roach will serve a term expiring July 9, 2027.
The Center for School Safety Board is comprised of 15 members appointed by the governor. The Board was established with the passage of House Bill 330 in the 1998 General Assembly with a mission to create safe, secure learning environments where all children can successfully achieve.
The center’s mission also serves as the central point for data analysis; research; dissemination of information about successful school safety programs, research results, and new programs; and in collaboration with the Department of Education and others, to provide technical assistance for safe schools.
Roach, a resident of Princeton, has been serving as the superintendent at Caldwell County Schools since July 1, 2021. Before assuming this position, he worked as the Assistant Superintendent at Union County Public Schools for three years. Prior to that, he served as the principal at Union County Middle School for six years.
